GONG BATHS WILL START WHEN VENUES ARE ABLE TO REOPEN
1-2-1 & SMALL GROUP SESSIONS AVAILABLE IN WARE
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” – Plato.
WHAT IS A GONG BATH?
No water is involved and you can keep your clothes on (please)!
In short, you make yourself comfortable with blankets and pillows, lay back and enjoy a guided meditation or Yoga Nidra and the soothing tones and vibrations of the gong. You don’t have to have practiced yoga or tried it before.
The gong has been used as an effective healing instrument for centuries. Sound and vibration can awaken or soothe the nervous system which is responsible for our stress response. The gong can be used for relaxation, meditation and healing.
Hertford & Ware, Herts.
Bookings will reopen post lockdown.
I am offering private 1-2-1 and small group sessions from your home or my little space in Ware, I am happy to travel to surrounding areas.
“Yoga Nidra is the yoga of aware sleep. In this lies the secret of self healing.
Yoga Nidra is a pratyahara technique in which the distractions of the mind are contained and the mind is relaxed.”
– Satyananda Saraswati
THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT
I love it when science confirms and explains what ancient civilisations discovered. The law of nature states everything has a vibration. Everything is made up of atoms, these atoms are in a constant state of motion, depending on the speed of these atoms, things are appear as a solid, liquid, or gas (there’s also plasma and condensate which are worth a google). If you’ve been to a good gig you’ve probably come out ears buzzing, body fizzing and in a really good mood, or perhaps you’ve felt soothed by some of that dreamy spa music? That’s the effect sound can have on your body. Music of all kinds brings people together and effects how we feel physically and mentally.
There are some interesting videos on youtube in relation to the effect of a gong bath on the blood in relation to healing and our immune system as well as the study of vibration, Cymatics. The patterns that different frequencies make are surprisingly familiar and are all found in nature. It’s amazing! Different gongs come in a big mixture of sizes and materials and are tuned to different frequencies. Scientist Hans Cousto created a formula to work out the frequency of each of the planets, hence the creation of the planet gongs.
